Desktop and Android beta

Download VerbScribe

The apps are in beta. They are not yet code-signed or notarized, so your system may ask you to confirm the first install. The steps are below.

You do not need to install anything to try VerbScribe. The web app runs in any modern browser.

macOS beta · Apple silicon

macOS on Apple silicon · version 0.2.0-beta.2

  1. Open the disk image and drag VerbScribe Flow to Applications.
  2. The beta is not notarized by Apple, so macOS may refuse the first launch. Open System Settings, then Privacy & Security, scroll to the VerbScribe message and choose Open Anyway.
  3. Allow microphone access when asked, and accessibility access if you want dictation typed into other apps.

Linux beta

Linux, 64-bit AppImage · version 0.2.0-beta.2

  1. Make the file executable (chmod +x), then run it.
  2. Linux is a limited beta: behaviour varies by distribution and desktop environment, so test dictation before relying on it.

Android beta

Android 8.0 or newer · version 1.0.3

  1. This is a signed APK that you install yourself; it is not on Google Play yet. Your browser or file manager will ask permission to install unknown apps.
  2. Updates install over the top only when they are signed with the same key. An older debug build must be uninstalled first.
